Technical Program Manager

The Global Packaging team is looking for a multi-faceted individual who can support business innovation through systems and tools development, supporting business processes, business intelligence requirements, advancing and automating functional activities. You will become part of a high-performing technical team consisting of multi-disciplinary functions: program management, structural engineering, artwork and localization, research and innovation. The position requires technical distinction and the ability to work well across geographical regions in a team environment where the emphasis is on innovation, collaboration and execution excellence.

Responsibilities:

- Program and project management to supporting the development of tools, applications, and functional specifications. Advance and automate integrated business processes, business intelligence, and functional activities for our team. Drive larger projects through management and engagement with Microsoft Manufacturing Supply Chain and Information Services [MSCIS] IT Solution Managers.

- Drive cross functional collaboration towards capturing, consolidating and prioritization of requirements. Provide concise, detailed documentation and analysis. Proactively implement strategy. Create realistic schedules to deliver key milestones on time. Communicate status, manage change and resource constraints on all activities.

- Drive and develop improvements through tools, systems and automation strategies and implementation to reduce costs, reduce timelines, enable scale, improve quality and provide business management reporting.

- Research, identify and evaluate innovation technology solutions in artwork, structural engineering, localization, and manufacturing of printed materials. Deliver solutions which improve our processes, product quality and ROI.

- Understanding of business process and reporting requirements to support management, control change and drive improvements through tools development.

- Rapid prototype business intelligence and UI development. Provide quick solutions to help support prioritization and drive technical teams.

- Evaluate and test new software applications used in our systems. Develop and execute implementation, change management and migration plans.

- Build and foster strong customer service oriented relationships with product groups, marketing and localization teams, supply chain, multiple operations teams and vendors. Work with many disciplines and management levels, internal & external.

- SharePoint / Content Management / Digital Content Management / Workflow tools

- Taxonomy

Advantageous to be experienced in:

- Microsoft Development Toolsets

- Silverlight

- UI development with Expression Suite 4

- InDesign Server, CS5

- PivotViewer control

- Windows Azure

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering - Other degrees considered with practical experience

7-10 Years Program and / or Project Management - Strong communication skills, effectively manage global projects across multi-functional teams, demonstrated ability to analyze needs, organize and integrate disparate information into clear, concise documentation, presentations, specifications and plans. Software application and Tools development through implementation, delivering on-time, on budget

Proven ability to deliver solid analytics and ROI

Strategic thought and proactive in approaches

Ability to think out of the box to contribute new ideas

Able to support team in development of their ideas enabling a creative and innovative environment

Track record of strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with global teams
