DENVER, CO?(Marketwired ? Jul 9, 2013) ? 2012 marked a resurgent year for the real estate market. Due to lower interest rates and a more stable economy, buyers regained the confidence they had all but lost when the economy crashed in 2008. If the last five years have taught homeowners anything, it was that they should be more careful with their money. In lieu of this, more and more homeowners are selling their homes without the assistance of a real estate agent, and are instead utilizing Kirk Wickersham?s FSBO (For Sale by Owner) System.
Wickersham recently announced that the FSBO System helped the average do-it-yourself home seller save approximately $18,500 in 2012. The system, which was first introduced to the public in 1995, provides clients with the marketing techniques, strategies, tips and support they need to sell their home. In 2012, it was converted for use on the Internet.
Considering that most real estate agents charge a staggering 6% commission, those who have utilized the FSBO System have been able to increase their profit margins by as much as $50,000. The system is protected under a money back guarantee and has enjoyed more than a 95 percent success rate. In addition, statistics show that FSBO System Clients sell their homes in approximately one-third the time of sellers that follow traditional models.
Realizing that homeowners can be intimidated by the prospect of selling their homes without an agent, Wickersham, a former Chair of the Alaska Real Estate Commission, designed the FSBO System with ease of use and flexibility in mind. The system is separated into seven easy to follow, palatable modules, with each one building upon the last. For those interested in trying out the FSBO System, the first module and reference manual can be downloaded for free.
If customers have questions, a licensed real estate professional can be contacted via phone or email during normal business hours. In addition, these agents will provide home sellers with a thorough Comparative Market Analysis, set them up with a customized marketing program and prepare all legal documentation, including purchase agreements and closing documents.
The FSOB System is currently available for purchase from the company?s site (www.fsbosystem.com) for a discounted price of $1,995.
About Kirk Wickersham:
Kirk Wickersham is a real estate broker and lawyer possessing over 40 years of industry experience. A Yale Law School graduate, Wickersham was elected to serve as the Chair of the Alaska Real Estate Commission. In 2007, he has appointed by Governor Palin to the Board of Regents of the University of Alaska. Wickersham first conceived the FSBO System in 1995, and placed it on the web in 2012.

The official word isn't expected to come until Sunday, but by many accounts Penn State and Central Florida have come to an agreement to play a game in Ireland during the 2014 season.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday morning that organizers will make an official announcement on Sunday and at that time travel packages for the event will be unveiled. The Sentinel also reported that the game is slated to be played in Croke Park, which is located in north Dublin.
Penn State officials reiterated for the past several months that the two programs were coming close to reaching an agreement on the game and that it would only be a matter of time until the details were ironed out. By scheduling the game as the season opener, which is what it is expected to be, both teams would be able to travel over earlier in the week and get acclimated with their surroundings before playing in the 82,300-seat stadium.
Nearly one year ago the NCAA handed down unprecedented sanctions against Penn State that took the Lions out of postseason eligibility. The Ireland game is a way for the program and the fans to still participate in a bowl-like atmosphere while also helping to sell recruits on a unique opportunity.
PennLive will have more details about the game as more information becomes available.

Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine play teen wannabe-criminals opposite James Franco’s drug-dealing rapper in Spring Breakers -- a departure from their typical squeaky-clean roles, to say the least. And while it’s a bit shocking for audiences to see these actresses transform into girls gone wild, it was also a surprise for them to see Franco’s metamorphosis into a thug.

If rumors and leaked images (shown above) are to be believed, ZTE is set to launch the U988S as the world's first Tegra 4-powered handset. While ZTE and NVIDIA announced a partnership to make the Chinese manufacturer the first to bring Tegra 4 phones to market this year, it was unclear up until this point what the phone would look like or what its final specs would be. We've got our hands on a bit more info now, with both leaked images and purported specs. The outside is clad in a solid plastic shell somewhat reminiscent of other 2013 ZTE devices, with capacitive buttons on the front and coming in at about 9mm thick.
On the inside, we are expecting a 1.8GHz Tegra 4 processor accompanied by 2GB of RAM, a 1080P display, 13MP camera and SDcard support. Rumor has it that the device is running Android 4.2, which we would expect for a phone launching in mid-2013. We don't yet have any specifics on the final naming or availability of the device, but we don't have high hopes for it to hit U.S. shores any time soon, if ever.

Distinguishing traits. Tubular flowers come in bright orange or red. Leaves are small and grayish. Choose from a number of varieties of California fuchsia. Newer varieties, in particular, are long blooming. 'Bert's Bluff' is orange red. 'Ghostly Red' has the purest red flowers and fuzzy gray-green leaves. Others include 'UC Hybrid' (developed at UC Davis) and 'Calistoga' (orange-red).
How to grow it. Plant it in fall or early spring, so the roots can establish before hot weather. Make sure drainage is quick. Water it regularly (every week or two) during the first growing season. After the plants are established, cut back to watering only as needed. Prune back established plants almost to the ground in fall after the bloom season. Lightly prune the branch tips in spring to encourage bushy growth.

"The first half of the year was certainly much more difficult than last year. But I see very good growth opportunities for the Swiss watch industry for the second half of the year," he told the NZZ am Sonntag newspaper.
Hayek said sales of the priciest products had suffered most in China in the first five months of the year, but Swatch had still seen double-digit growth for its brands in the high, medium and lowest price categories.
"The situation in the luxury market in China improved in June," he added.
Switzerland's watch industry has been grappling with weak demand in China, where a slowing economy and a crackdown on lavish gifts weigh on sales, and Europe, where austerity programs hit consumer spending.

Swatch saw gross sales rise 14 percent to 8.143 billion francs in 2012.
Analysts predict Swatch will report 2013 sales of 8.8 billion francs on average, Reuters data shows.
Hayek said he hoped the Harry Winston business would "soon" be able to achieve sales of 1 billion francs under Swatch leadership, compared to the $430 million it turned over in 2012.

Arkansas had been in the lead for 2015 prospect Zach Rogers (Lewisville, Texas/Hebron) for quite some time. On Saturday, the stud offensive lineman made it official by committing to the Razorbacks, becoming the second 2015 player to give Arkansas his pledge.Rogers made the commitment during a quick weekend trip to Fayetteville, Ark. He chose Arkansas over offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech and UCLA. While he was grateful for those offers, no school compared to his love for Arkansas.

Rakon, the second-worst performing stock on the New Zealand sharemarket in the past year, will sell 80% of its Chinese joint venture factory to a Chinese electronics manufacturer for $US18.8 million ($24 million) to reduce debt.
Rakon, which will retain a 5% holding in the venture, is selling the stake to Shenzhen Stock Exchange listed ZheJiang East Crystal Electronic Co, a specialised electronic components manufacturer, the Auckland-based company said in a statement. It expects to take a $32 million impairment on the investment.
In May, Rakon said it planned to cut debt to $13.5 million in the current financial year ending March 31, from the $36.1 million outstanding when it made the announcement in May. The sale means debt can be reduced both earlier and below its target, the company said today.
Rakon and ZheJiang will share resources and capabilities, with ZheJiang funding expansion of the factory to enable the venture to achieve greater scale while Rakon provides research and development, technology and marketing to the partnership. Competition is strong and further consolidation in the industry is likely in the next three years, Rakon said.
Shares in the company, which makes crystal oscillators used in smart phones and navigation systems, had jumped today before the stock was halted for the announcement and edged up to 28 cents from 25 cents when they resumed trading, taking their gain so far today to 22%. The shares have tumbled 50% in the past 12 months.
The company posted a loss of $32.8 million last financial year as it cut up to 60 local jobs to shift manufacturing to China.
The sale is expected to settle on September 30, pending a final agreement and any required regulatory approvals. A further update will be given at the interim results in mid-November, the company said.

If you're one of the lucky 100-plus Koreans who pre-ordered one of Samsung's F9000-series 4K TVs this June, you'll be glad to know that you're getting your reward very soon. The company has just announced that both the 55- and 65-inch F9000 sets should ship to Korea on July 6th. As before, the series is a more affordable yet functionally similar alternative to Samsung's 85-inch behemoth -- customers get the Ultra HD screen resolution and Evolution Kit support at relatively modest prices of 6.4 million won ($5,670) for the 55-inch TV and 8.9 million won ($7,913) for its 65-inch cousin. We're still twiddling our thumbs waiting for a launch on this side of the Pacific, but those who need something to tide themselves over can read Samsung's translated press release after the break.

Camera-equipped smartphones aren't quite the perfect replacement for a digital camera just yet. They lack manual controls, use tiny sensors, and their simple lenses lack the ability to zoom. (And no, digital zoom doesn't count.) But if you've already got yourself a powerful set of binoculars, this simple adapter will turn them into a powerful telephoto lens for your phone, as long as you don't mind some unwieldy bulk.
The flexible adapter works with various full-sized binoculars?so opera lovers, you're out of luck. And while designed for the iPhone 5, an included adapter lets it play nice with the iPhone 4 and 4S. BOSTON (AP) ? A former drug dealer says he made about $200,000 a year when James "Whitey" Bulger (BUHL'-jur) protected his narcotics operation.
Joseph Tower testified Tuesday in the reputed gangster's trial that Bulger also saved Tower's brother when he was being held hostage after trying to collect a drug debt.
Tower, who received immunity from prosecution, has said he went into business with Bulger in 1980.
Tower says Bulger was so feared that his drug operatives knew they had the protection they needed to carry out their illegal business, the proceeds of which Bulger shared.
Bulger had pleaded not guilty to charges against him, which include participating in 19 slayings. The 83-year-old fled Boston in 1994 and was one of the nation's most wanted fugitives until his 2011 capture.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.
A former FBI agent who admitted taking payoffs from James "Whitey" Bulger appeared to choke back tears as he offered a dramatic apology to the family of one of the reputed gangster's alleged murder victims.
"Not a day in my life has gone by that I haven't thought about this. Not a day in my life has gone by that I haven't prayed that God gives you blessing and comfort for the pain that you suffered," John Morris, his voice cracking, told a widow and her three sons Monday during cross-examination by a defense lawyer at Bulger's racketeering trial.
The 83-year-old Bulger is charged with participating in 19 murders in the 1970s and '80s while he allegedly led the notorious Winter Hill Gang.
Morris testified that he told fellow FBI agent John Connolly that Edward "Brian" Halloran had given authorities information about a murder Bulger's gang was suspected of committing. At the time, both Morris and Connolly ? his subordinate ? had corrupt relationships with Bulger, who he said was a longtime FBI informant at the same time he was committing a litany of crimes.
Prosecutors say Halloran and Michael Donahue ? an innocent bystander who had offered Halloran a ride home ? were killed in 1982 after Connolly leaked the information to Bulger. Bulger is accused of opening fire on the car as the two men left a Boston restaurant.
Morris' voice cracked as he looked at Donahue's widow, Patricia, and his three grown sons seated in the courtroom. Morris apologized for "things that I may have done and things that I didn't do."
Patricia Donahue said she believes Morris was sincere, but his apology came "way, way too late."
"Those words didn't mean anything to me," she said. "While he's getting his (FBI) promotions, I'm mourning my husband."
Morris testified earlier that he played "no direct role" in the two killings. He said he believed Halloran was in protective custody and was about to enter the federal witness protection program when he talked to Connolly about him.
"It was spontaneous," he said. "I didn't plan it. It just happened. I wish it hadn't."
Bulger attorney Hank Brennan asked Morris if he knew he was "signing Mr. Halloran's death warrant" by telling Connolly he was cooperating against Bulger.
"I thought he was safe," Morris said.
Morris admitted taking $7,000 in payoffs, two cases of wine and other gifts from Bulger and the gang. He was given immunity from prosecution for his testimony during hearings in the 1990s and later for his testimony against Connolly in two separate trials in Massachusetts and Florida.
Connolly was convicted of racketeering and second-degree murder for leaking information to Bulger and the gang. It was a tip from Connolly that prompted Bulger to flee Boston in 1994. He was one of the nation's most wanted fugitives until he was finally captured in Santa Monica, Calif., in 2011.
Bulger has pleaded not guilty and denies being an informant for the FBI.
In other testimony Monday, prosecutors called a former drug dealer who said he went into business with Bulger in 1980.
Joseph Tower, who received immunity from prosecution, said he was a musician and a cocaine and marijuana dealer when he first met Bulger. He said he was approached by a Bulger associate who offered to protect him and his customers from harassment by others trying to cut into his business.
Tower, who said the business was selling about a kilo of cocaine every week, called Bulger the "protection" in the organization and said Bulger regularly collected his share of the profits.
Bulger laughed audibly several times as Tower testified energetically about how Bulger's name instilled fear in people.

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) ? A woman who could be considered Africa's Oprah Winfrey is launching an entertainment network that will be beamed into nearly every country on the continent with programs showcasing its burgeoning middle class.
Mosunmola "Mo" Abudu wants EbonyLife TV to inspire Africans and the rest of the world, and change how viewers perceive the continent. The network's programming tackles women's daily life subjects ? everything from sex tips to skin bleaching.
"Not every African woman has a pile of wood on her head and a baby strapped to her back!" the glamorous Abudu, 48, told The Associated Press from a hotel's penthouse floor against a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and high-rise buildings flanked by palm and almond trees.
"We watch Hollywood as if all of America is Hollywood," she said. "In that same vein we need to start selling the good bits of Africa."
Months of work to provide original content includes the flagship program "Sistaz!" about two Greek-Nigerian sisters and a British-born Nigerian friend who check into the Eko Hotel for a holiday reunion and rediscover the passion of sisterhood and the vibrant city of Lagos.
"It helps show that you can go to Africa for a holiday, you can go to Nigeria on holiday, you can go to Lagos" and enjoy a vacation, Abudu said of the much-maligned Nigerian financial capital that is much improved since the country transitioned from military dictatorship to civilian rule in 1999.
The characters are as cosmopolitan as Abudu, a tall and elegant woman with sculpted cheekbones. She was born in London, came to Nigeria when she was a youngster and returned to Britain after her father died when she was 12. She returned to settle when she married a Nigerian at age 28.
Once her children were in their teens, Abudu, a former executive with the oil giant Exxon-Mobil, abandoned a 20-year career in human resources in 2006 to become a self-taught television talk show host. "Moments with Mo" became the first syndicated daily talk show on African regional TV and also is aired in Britain on a Sky TV channel.
She has interviewed celebrities from Hillary Rodham Clinton, former African presidents F. W. de Klerk of South Africa and John Kufuor of Ghana, former England soccer skipper Rio Ferdinand, musician R. Kelly and American fashion icon Diane Von Furstenberg.
A telling moment for Abudu came she was standing at London's Marble Arch and decided, on a whim, to ask people what came to their minds when they heard the word Africa.
The answers ranged from Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe's dictatorial ruler of 33 years, the British charity Oxfam and famine to babies with flies on their faces. "The nicest thing I heard was 'sunshine,'" said an appalled Abudu.
Years later, she is setting out to transform that vision by shining a bright light on the so-called "dark continent's" riches ? its super-talented young entrepreneurs, fabulous art scene, up-and-coming fashion designers, provocative authors and sassy musicians.
One program is hosted by rhythm and blues artist Banky W and singer-songwriter Tiwa Savage. Their first program discusses why more and more Nigerian women are bleaching their skins and whether men prefer lighter-skinned black women.
So the network will not ignore some of the darker sides of Africa's realities, though Abudu promises "a different reality."
It will feature a specially commissioned movie, "New Horizons," from award-winning filmmaker Tope Oshin Ogun that bares the plight of women across the continent subjected to domestic abuse, a prevalent crime that is not often addressed.
And radio host Oreka Godis stars in "Love Lounge," where she will ask the cheeky questions for which she is known of sexologists, life coaches and psychotherapists.
While Nollywood movies also are notorious for often poor quality, though this is improving, Abudu aims for the highest quality in a network she hopes will eventually be broadcast beyond Africa to the millions in the diaspora.
"What we say is 'Everything you think you know about Africa is about to change,'" Abudu said.

With the voting just over two months away, the bidding for the 2020 Olympics and the race for the IOC presidency are reaching a pivotal stage.
Both campaigns come together this week in Lausanne as the three bid cities and six presidential candidates make vital presentations to the voters ? the 100-plus members of the International Olympic Committee.
Istanbul, Madrid and Tokyo make their pitches to the IOC assembly on Wednesday, with the Turkish city having the most at stake following the wave of anti-government protests that swept the country. The presidential contenders present their platforms to the members on Thursday.
Both events could prove decisive going into the final weeks before the IOC session in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the members will vote by secret ballot for the host city on Sept. 7 and the new president on Sept. 10.
The presentations will be made behind closed doors at the Beaulieu convention center. The bid cities will each have 45 minutes to make their case, with another 45 minutes allotted for questions and answers. The presidential candidates will each have 15 minutes to outline their manifestos.
Overseeing the proceedings will be IOC President Jacques Rogge, who steps down in September after 12 years in office. He served an initial eight-year term and was elected to a second four-year mandate.
Vying to succeed Rogge are: IOC vice presidents Thomas Bach of Germany and Ng Ser Miang of Singapore, executive board members Sergei Bubka of Ukraine and C.K. Wu of Taiwan, and former board members Richard Carrion of Puerto Rico and Denis Oswald of Switzerland.
The presidential race is generating more buzz than the 2020 contest among the members.
"Basically the most important thing we do is to elect a president," senior Norwegian IOC member Gerhard Heiberg told The Associated Press. "It's more important than organizing cities for the games. We have many challenges coming.
"We will elect a person for eight years. This person will mean a lot of difference in the IOC, the thinking, the strategy. I meet a lot of IOC members and they talk about nothing else."
Bach has been considered a front-runner, but favorites don't always win in the unpredictable world of IOC elections.
All six candidates have already sent their campaign platforms to the members. Now the voters will get a chance to see and hear them in person, the first time such presentations have been organized for an IOC presidential campaign.
The six will speak one after the other. It is not a debate and no questions will be allowed. The IOC says it wants to keep the format to a controlled, civil campaign.
"They have 15 minutes to stand in front of the session, to show their personality and to lay out their programs for the eight years coming," Heiberg said. "This will give a good indication, especially for members who don't know the six, to finally get to see them performing."
The candidates' platforms have steered away from revolutionary change and centered on common themes: reaching out to youth, stepping up the fight against doping, reviewing the bidding process for the games, improving the system for selecting sports on the Olympic program, raising the 70-year age limit for IOC members.
"The race really starts this week," Heiberg said.
By contrast, the 2020 bid cities have been campaigning for nearly two years already, but this will be the first time they appear before the IOC assembly. All three are bringing high-ranking delegations to try to earn the members' trust and confidence.
"The ones who don't take this seriously make a big mistake," Heiberg said.
It was at a similar meeting in 2009 that Rio de Janeiro seized the momentum in the race for the 2016 Games, focusing on the theme that the Olympics had never been to South America and Brazil was an emerging economic force.
Last week, the IOC released a technical evaluation report on the 2020 bid cities to give members as much factual information as possible. The report did not rank or grade the cities, but Tokyo appeared to come out the best overall.
Istanbul is bidding for a fifth time, Madrid is back for a third consecutive time and Tokyo is trying for a second time in a row.
Istanbul is inviting the IOC to take the Olympics to a new region, to a predominantly Muslim country for the first time, to a city that connects Asia and Europe. Tokyo claims to be a "safe pair of hands" at a time of global economic and political uncertainty. Madrid, despite Spain's severe financial troubles, boasts that it would spend far less money than the others on infrastructure because 80 percent of its venues are already in place.
No city has more at stake than Istanbul, following the unprecedented street demonstrations across the country in June. Prime Minister Recep Tayypip Erdogan, facing the biggest challenge to his 10-year rule, has come under international criticism for his crackdown on the protests. Turkey's image has also been hit by a spate of doping cases in recent weeks.
"Although the games will be seven years ahead, what's going on (in Turkey) right now is important to the voting of the members," Heiberg said. "There will be many questions, absolutely. This is a good opportunity for Turkey, for Istanbul, to answer the questions and lay it out in the open how they think, what they're going to do about it."
Associated PressThe military is warning that it will intervene if President Morsi doesn't restore calm. Many see it as a sign that he will have to resign.

The protesters and the opposition see the announcement as a sign that Mr. Morsi will be forced to step down and call early elections. While the ultimatum could potentially be satisfied by a compromise between the opposition and Morsi that does not involve the president's resignation, they have demanded nothing less.?
The president's office and the Muslim Brotherhood both canceled planned press conferences tonight, and it remains unclear how the president will respond to the military's demand, or what his refusal to?acquiesce to the military's intervention?would mean for Egypt.
The military, which took power when former President Hosni Mubarak was toppled by mass protests in 2011, said it would announce a ?roadmap? to resolve the crisis and oversee its implementation if the government fails to make the deadline, but?said it will not rule or participate in politics itself.
The statement, read on television by Defense Minister Abdel Fattah El Sisi was welcomed by the political opposition and the crowds who are still present in Tahrir Square and the presidential palace, some of whom yesterday had urged military intervention with chants of ?Come down, Sisi, Morsi is not our president!?
Near the presidential palace, protesters beat drums, sang, and chanted in joy, waving flags and hoisting children on their shoulders. In some neighborhoods, drivers honked their horns in celebration. ?I'm so happy at the Army's statement. The Army is listening to the people,? says Siham Naguib El Sebai, a grandmother who says she was so excited by the military's statement that she felt she had to come to the palace to celebrate. ?We're going to stay here for 48 hours until Morsi leaves. He must go ? the will of the people is above anyone else's will.?
When a military helicopter flew low over the crowd, the protesters cheered, as the aircraft glowed green from thousands of green laser pointers reflecting off its surface.
Morsi's supporters would see the president's resignation as a military coup to topple Egypt's first freely elected president. At a mosque where Morsi's supporters have rallied since?Friday, the mood tonight was grim and determined.
Many other Egyptians who protested military rule during the transition period will be dismayed to see the military involved in political affairs once again. Yet the majority of the population appears to have confidence and trust in the military.
?Today represents a very public and very assertive intervention by the military in civilian political affairs that might actually be welcomed by most people? because of the failures of Morsi's government, says Yasser El Shimy, Egypt analyst at the International Crisis Group. ?The hopes during the?25 January?revolution for a civilian democratic government are probably not going to be fully realized, at least not in the short term.?
The military ruled Egypt for 17 months after?Mr. Mubarak was toppled. In that time,?it sent more than 12,000 civilians to military trials, cracked down on civil society organizations and freedom of expression, and stoked xenophobia. Its threat today?comes just a year after Egyptians elected Morsi and celebrated the end of military rule.
Yet in his lone year in office, Morsi has alienated many Egyptians. In November, he temporarily gave himself immunity from judicial challenge and used the authority to push a new constitution to referendum, and to appoint a controversial prosecutor general. The move deepened the political polarization, with many in the opposition feeling that he threw aside any attempt at inclusiveness and governed as if he had been elected with a strong mandate when in actuality he won by a razor-thin margin.
Many of the protesters who have gathered to demand his removal say he governs as if the Muslim Brotherhood, not the Egyptian people, are his constituents.?
Morsi inherited a dismal economic situation and has taken the blame as prices have risen, the value of the pound has dropped,?and gas and power outages have become increasingly frequent. He has also struggled to assert authority over the police, who for decades arrested and tortured Muslim Brotherhood members and have not fully cooperated with efforts to restore security. Together, these issues have brought many Egyptians into the street.?
The campaign that called for yesterday's protest, called?Tamarod?(?Rebel?), also welcomed the military's statement.
?We send our salute to the great Egyptian Army,? said spokesman Mahmoud Badr in a press conference. ?The Army has confirmed ... that it favors the people's will for early elections,? he said, adding, ?We will not be part of any negotiations? with the president.
The political opposition has also said it will not negotiate with the president. Mohamed Aboul Ghar, head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, said the Army's statement was a ?positive step? that will keep protests from escalating into greater violence. At least 16 people were killed in Cairo and elsewhere in Egypt yesterday, including eight who were killed when they?attacked the Muslim Brotherhood's headquarters in Cairo?and those inside the building shot at the crowd.
Dr. Aboul Ghar said the National Salvation Front, a broad opposition coalition of which his party is a member, will not talk to Morsi, but will consider any concessions presented on his behalf by the Army. He too insisted Morsi must go, though he said the Muslim Brotherhood's party should be allowed to participate in political life if it obeyed the same laws and regulations applied to other parties.
Analysts had predicted before the June 30 protests that the Army might use its leverage to force political compromise and quell unrest in the streets. Mr. El Shimy says the optimistic reading of the situation is that ?the military is going to force a resolution that allows the maintaining of the constitutional order ? even if Morsi doesn't finish his term at least there would be parliamentary elections and new presidential elections soon, as opposed to an outright usurpation of power, which would be the pessimistic reading.?
Yet Shimy says the military's statement gives the opposition incentives to refuse negotiations with the president, decreasing the chances of a compromise. ?[The opposition] believes they can get a lot more by holding firm,? he says.
The Muslim Brotherhood canceled a press conference this evening and has not yet released an official response to the statement. Khalil Al Anani, an expert on the Muslim Brotherhood at Durham University in Britain, says the group's leaders had deeply underestimated the popular anger at the group and at Morsi. When he talked with them last night, says Dr. Anani, ?they were really disappointed, frustrated, and surprised by what happened.?
Anani says that if Morsi is forced out of office, there is a possibility that some of his young supporters may lose faith in the fledgling democracy and turn to violence, having been blocked politically.
?The fear is that if Morsi steps down some of his supporters will be radicalized and turn against the state,? he says.

Now that a leaked build of Android 4.3 is in the wild, curious users have been poring over the code to see exactly what's new. Kevin from TeslaCoil Software may have found one of the first real gems: there's now a notification listening service under the hood. The feature would let third-party apps read notifications and perform common notification-level tasks. While we don't have new software to show exactly how the service will work, it's possible that future apps will have limited control over each other without relying on the hacks that we see today. We'll know the full story when Google makes Android 4.3 official -- whenever that is.

YARNELL, Ariz. (AP) ? A fire information officer says 19 firefighters are unaccounted for while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire in a central Arizona community.
Mike Reichling told the Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/158NjWp ) that 20 firefighters were involved in a "serious incident."
The newspaper reports that one of the firefighters has been located.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has notified residents in the Peeples Valley area and in the town of Yarnell to evacuate.
Roxie Glover, spokeswoman at Wickenburg Community Hospital, told The Associated Press that the hospital has been told to expect residents with injuries and firefighters.
Earlier Sunday, the fast-moving fire prompted evacuations of 50 homes in the Buckhorn, Model Creek and Double A Bar Ranch areas about 85 miles northwest of Phoenix.
In the afternoon, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office expanded the evacuations to include residents in the Peeples Valley area and in the town of Yarnell.
The wildfire also forced the closure of parts of state Route 89, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced. The department did not have an estimate of how long the closure would last but advised drivers to use U.S. 93 or Interstate 17 as alternate routes.
The Red Cross has opened a shelter at Yavapai College in Prescott, the sheriff's office said.
The Yarnell Hill Fire now covers nearly 2,000 acres, according to the newspaper.
The fire started Friday but picked up momentum Sunday as the area experienced high temperatures, low humidity and windy conditions.
About two hundred firefighters are now working at the fire, but an additional 130 firefighters and more water- and retardant-dropping helicopters and aircraft are on their way.
In another Arizona fire, a 2-acre blaze that started at a motorcycle salvage yard and spread to a trailer park has destroyed five mobile homes in the Gila County community of Rye, located more than 130 miles east of Yarnell.
Gila County Health and Emergency Services Director Michael O'Driscoll said no one was injured in Rye.
The fire was ignited Saturday night at All Bikes Sales located off Highway 87. It spread to neighboring federal Forest Service land but was fully contained within 12 hours of its start.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Seven adults and two children were staying at a shelter set up for people who were evacuated, the Red Cross said.

A life-size spaceship prop from TV's original "Star Trek" series, once lost and in shambles, has been lovingly restored to its former glory by die-hard fans for a new mission: to live long and prosper as a museum piece.
After nine months of restoration, the Galileo shuttlecraft ? a life-size spaceship prop from the iconic 1960s science fiction TV series ? was publicly unveiled last week in a ceremony amid loud cheers from a crowd of "Star Trek" fans and friends on hand to see the ship before its sendoff to its final frontier. It shipped off Space Center Houston, the visitor's center for NASA's Johnson Space Center, on Wednesday (June 26).
"This is amazing," "Star Trek" superfan Adam Schneider told a crowd of more than 350 friends and fellow fans as he unveiled the restored Galileo on June 22 in Atlantic Highlands, N.J. Schneider bought the huge Trek spaceship prop at auction with the specific goal of restoring it and donating it to a museum for the public to enjoy. "Despite spending [nearly] 50 years basically outdoors, for a prop built to last a year or two, she's ready for her next journey." ?[See Photos of Star Trek's Galileo Shuttlecraft Fully Restored]
Schneider unveiled the fully restored Galileo shuttlecraft, at Master Shipwrights Inc., a boat restoration company that performed the work on the Trek prop. Schneider's wife Leslie broke a bottle of champagne to commemorate Galileo's resurrection, but only off to the side so as not to damage the ship.
"This means a lot to everybody, all the fans," said Mike Stein of Nutley, N.J., who commands the U.S.S. Justice fan club and was one of the many "Star Trek" fans attending Galileo's unveiling. "This is going to be an inspiration of what our vision for the future was for the people who will see it."
One fan, amateur astronomer ?and retired psychiatrist Willie Yee of New Paltz, N.Y., drove to see Galileo in a white Toyota Prius modified to look like a "Star Trek" shuttlecraft, complete with a Federation flag symbol, Trek logo and striping and a bunch of Tribbles (fictional fuzzy critters from the show) in the trunk.
Without the Galileo, Yee told SPACE.com, he would not have been inspired to create his own Prius shuttlecraft, which he's dubbed the Zhang Heng.
Warp speed to Houston
Galileo's new home is the museum Space Center Houston, which is located next door to NASA's Johnson Space Centerin Houston, Texas, the home base for the U.S. astronaut corps and Mission Control. There, the "Star Trek" shuttlecraft will be presented with other Space Age relics to help convey the history of the U.S. space program. Galileo will be formally unveiled at Space Center Houston on July 31.
"This will be a centerpiece in their display showing the linkage between science fiction and real space travel," Schneider said, adding that Galileo predated NASA's own space shuttle fleet by more than a decade. "This will be the iconic piece in the best possible home at the gateway of the manned space program. [Galileo Shuttlecraft to Land at Space Center Houston (Video)]
The Galileo shuttlecraft made its "Star Trek" debut in 1967 in the episode "Galileo Seven," in which the ship ferries crewmembers (including commander Spock) from show's starship, the U.S.S. Enterprise, down to the surface of a hostile planet. The Galileo is damaged, leaving the crew to find a way to survive until they can be rescued.
Built by car customizer Gene Winfield, the Galileo shuttlecraft is about 23 feet (7 meters) long and has 5.5-foot (1.7 m) ceiling height. It was primarily made of painted wood and sheet metal over a steel frame. The huge prop appeared in seven Trek episodes before the series was canceled in 1969 after a three-season run.
"This is easily the largest 'Star Trek' prop in the wild, and this is a spaceship," Schneider said. "It's not a chair, it's not a ray gun ? it's a spaceship."
Galileo's real-life trek
After the original "Star Trek" TV series cancellation, Galileo's voyage truly began. The shuttlecraft was initially donated to a school for the blind, and then resold to a series of collectors and would-be restorers until June 2012, when Schneider bought the Trek prop in an online auction. He has not disclosed the cost of Galileo or its restoration.
But Schneider's goal of restoring Galileo for donation seemed a daunting challenge. By the time obtained Galileo, the shuttlecraft was in bad shape. Time and the elements had left Galileo little more than a shade if its former self. And the shuttlecraft did not come with an instruction manual either, Schneider said.
"My plan right away was to buy it, figure out what to do to restore it, and then to donate it," Schneider said. "I was told by an awful lot of people that it was too far gone, that too many years had passed, that it would be too hard."
Working with his partner "Star Trek" blogger Alec Peters, Schneider and the team at Master Shipwrights ? led by craftsman Hans Mikatis ? tracked down vital details about Galileo to restore it as accurately as possible. By tapping into the expertise of that fan base, Schneider and Peters were able to identify key details for Galileo such as the markings on the side not facing the camera during its television appearances.
One Trek fan even built a key component for Galileo's restoration, a small compartment filled with electronic-like gear mounted to the aft of the shuttlecraft.
"There are no plans of the ship, as built, that we've ever found," Schneider said. "But there are a lot of pictures of it, and a lot of fans."
Now, with Galileo one its way to Houston (it was shipped overland by truck) the end of its long voyage is in sight.
"I hate to admit it, but I think Adam and I are going to miss you," Leslie Schneider told the shuttlecraft during its unveiling. "Live long and prosper, Galileo, and warp speed to Houston."
